Zohaib This summer, between July 25 and 27, the Newport Folk Festival will be happening in what is now the 66th year since its inception at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. Being one of the most renowned folk festivals in America, it is set to welcome many visitors this summer. The Newport Folk Festival encourages lifting hopes through the unifying power of music. It brings together people with artists and fans at Fort Adams for a community celebration, which is the true essence of the festival.
Last year, Newport Folk, within its 55-year history, celebrated the establishment of the Newport Folk Stewardship Program, from which extraordinary Newport Folk stewards will be chosen who will work towards the aid of the Newport Folk legacy. The ones selected will commit to socially engaging with the folk community whilst at the same time advocating for change that can collaboratively have a meaningful impact on the Newport Folk Festival. The previous year, famed artist and band leader Nathaniel Rateliff received the award due to his strong artwork, determination, and support towards the folk community. As the first steward, he wanted to focus on artist advocacy, mentorship, and protectorship for all other artists and chose to dedicate 3 years to the cause.
Tickets go on sale starting at 1 PM ET on February 5 only on DICE, so make sure you don’t miss out.
The General on-sale begins Wednesday, February 5th at 1PM ET via DICE. Pricing will remain the same this year with full details listed below. Children under 10 are free with a maximum of 2 children attending per ticketed. Children 10 and over will need to purchase a full priced admission ticket.
