New York, New York (May 8, 2025) – Garage-Rock trio from Melbourne, The Grogans have dropped their latest single, “Social Cue,” alongside a raw live performance video filmed at Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne. [Listen].

The  track offers a gritty preview of what’s to come on their forthcoming album Stagger, out May 23 via CW Records. Packed with heavy guitars, pounding drums, and that unmistakable Grogans edge, “Social Cue” channels the sting of disrespect and the frustration that follows. “Dig in and turn it up to eleven,” the band said.

Stagger is a patchwork of sounds and influences that reflect the trio’s evolving style. “It came from this idea that it was a jagged and stylistically different album track to track,” they explain. Capturing the magnetic energy of their live shows, the album also touches on themes of mental health, taking care of yourself and your loved ones, the occasional love song, and more. [Pre-Save]

As the catchy, chorus-first single and album opener “Oh Boy” leads into the sonic powerhouse “Come Up (Goes Down),” the pace shifts with “In My Heart,” slowing things down into a new easy-listening direction. That’s followed by “Have a Little Dream,” as dreamy as the title suggests and the big, open, echoed instrumentation of “Once In A While.

New textural effects show up in “Roll Back” and the last single “Roundabout,” while “Happier Man” dips into a heavier psych realm with a reminder that “striving to be a better and happier person should be a goal for everyone.” “Worry About Everything” is an upbeat tune sure to have you worrying about nothing, and the feel-good album closer “All My Days” ends on a more serious note, outlining the beauty and the beast of live music, and the personal struggles that come with the lifestyle and touring.
