1.) We’re super-excited to be speaking today with acclaimed and genre-smashing music artist and universal storyteller extraordinaire, Omer Ahmet; greetings and salutations Omer and thank you for taking time out of a busy schedule to speak with us here at Vents Magazine! Before we meander down the proverbial Q&A musical pathway, how is 2025 finding you and yours?
Answer: Greetings and thank you for having me on Vents Magazine it’s a honour and pleasure! 2025 has been an incredible year so far, I’ve been busy working on new music, connecting with fans around the world. The energy in the air feels vibrant and I’m excited about the creative journey, when im songwriting and producing, for me it’s escapism and all my troubles and worries get lost when I’m doing music, I am in my own world. I can’t wait to share my journey and the stories behind my music! I have 141 tracks from pop, rap, rnb, blues, reggae, all genders.
2.) Major kudos and accolades on your freshly-minted new single Azizem which is lighting up record charts all across the ever-lovin’ world even as we speak! Starting at the tip-top, can you talk about what inspired one of the very best single offerings of 2025?
◦ Answer: “Thank you so much for the kind words! ‘Azizem’ is based on a true story, it’s about my partner her name is “Azizem” we meet in Türkiye and fell in love! In 2019 I wrote the song, in 2021 I produced a Latino feel to the music and had artist Everett Peters (never wanna say bye) to sing Azizem for me. So this is a project that’s very close to my heart. The inspiration came from a desire to celebrate love and connection in a world that often feels divided. I made east meet west with the dance choreography in the music video which is on YouTube and Vevo.
3.) Azizem hits so many electrifying highs courtesy of your amazing delivery of Middle Eastern panache, R&B jauntiness and – washing it all down in smooth fashion –a pop spit shine bar none! Was the blending of musical genres in this potent cocktail by design, or did it all come about a little more organically than that?
Answer: “I’m thrilled you noticed the mix of genres in ‘Azizem’! The blending of Middle Eastern elements, R&B grooves, and pop flair was definitely a deliberate choice, and the Afro beat drums are my roots!! I needed to start the journey where I come from, what represents me, I originate from Cyprus, I’m Turkish,Greek, Italian, Middle Eastern and Kenyan. Mix me up that’s me haha and I’m proud.
Each genre adds its own flavor, and I wanted to capture that diversity in ‘Azizem.’ It’s a reflection of my personal journey and the influences I’ve absorbed over the years. I believe that music, like life, is a celebration of different cultures and experiences, and I’m excited to share that with the world.
4.) The eagerly anticipated release of Azizem marks a significant new chapter in your professional life in that you’re effectively a solo artist on this release after so many lauded collaborations in your past with artists and producers. Was there any trepidation on your part in taking the solo plunge for Azizem, or did it feel like this was the exact right place for you to land at this point in your life?
Answer: The release of Azizem as a solo project undoubtedly represents a pivotal moment in my career. While there was a natural sense of trepidation about stepping away from the collaborative environment I’ve thrived in, it also felt like the perfect time to explore my individual artistry. After numerous fruitful partnerships, I realized the importance of expressing my own vision and voice. This journey has been about embracing difficulties and growth, has been a challenge and ultimately, it felt like the right place to land at this stage in my life. The excitement of sharing my personal narrative with the world outweighed any fears, and I’m eager to see how listeners connect with this new chapter. I did 141 tracks all different genders to connect with the world, hoping and praying that there would understand me, and appreciate that I am universal and I write and produce straight from the heart.
5.) Who did the producing honors on Azizem and what did the in-studio collaboration between artist and producer look like while fashioning and shaping this new gem of a ditty?
Answer: On Azizem, I had the pleasure of collaborating with a talented artist Everett Peters who brought a fresh perspective to my music. The in-studio collaboration was dynamic and engaging, characterized by a lot of open dialogue and experimentation. We worked closely to shape the sound, often blending different genres and styles to create something unique. The process involved a lot of back-and-forth, with both of us contributing ideas and refining elements, But I was not happy, for the song had an emotional connection missing, that was my roots where I come from, so I told Everett that I be doing something fresh, doing it solo, that allowed for creativity to flourish, resulting in the gem that is Azizem. Everett agreed said “Omer all artist have a different style, vision, we should all find ours” true words.
6.) In the wake of the recent release of your stunning new single Azizem, can fans look forward to even more music from you as ‘25 marches on? Word ‘round industry campfire has it that you’ve been very busy on the recording front…

I’ve been incredibly busy in the studio, working on new material that explores different themes and sounds. The creative flow is strong, and I’m eager to keep releasing music that resonates with my audience. Stay tuned for more updates and surprises coming your way! I have a total of 14 albums and I’m trying to do 150 tracks so I have 15 albums, just came up with three tracks called “keeping on running”, “what have I got myself into”, and “let’s dance” will make it 144 tracks! I also released “Omer the maestro” on 10th April 2025 introducing myself to the world! Which is not part of the 141 tracks done.
